New Website
Welcome to our new look Fremington Parish Council website.
Please feel free to send us your comments. If you have a local club or organisation that would like a link on the website please submit details to the Parish Office.
Unesco Biosphere Reserve
We have been asked by the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve to invite members of the public to visit their website. This reserve is one of only 511 in the world and we are fortunate to have it in our area.
Core Strategy
A Core Strategy is being prepared jointly with Torridge district. It is a document that will set out the vision, strategic objectives and spatial strategy for delivering future development across Northern Devon until 2026. It will help to achieve sustainable development and create more sustainable communities. It will replace parts of the adopted Local Plans and the Devon Structure Plan.
Visit NDDC for more information
Police Report
The latest Police Report is held in the Parish Office and can be seen by visiting the Parish Office during opening hours.
Dog Fouling
Following a number of complaints regarding dog fouling, we would like to advise you that if you are aware of persistent problems you are welcome to contact the office. It is helpful if you can tell us if there is a regular time at which the offence occurs and any details that you feel would be helpful for us to pass on to the Dog Warden to enable them to catch up with offenders.
Safer North Devon
The Parish Council holds awareness leaflets from Safer North Devon, your local Community Safety Partnership, please call in to the office if you would like a copy.
Theft Prevention & Victim Assistance
The Parish Council holds a very informative book on identity theft prevention and victim assistance, and members of the public are welcome to come into the office and make use of the information
Change of Name
The Council agreed at a recent meeting not to take forward a change of name at the present time
Allotments
We are pleased to announce that the two allotment sites at Muddlebridge and Babbages are now up and running. Please contact the Parish Office should you wish to go on the waiting list.
