Fremington Parish Council at a meeting on December 8th 2008 adopted a Model Publication Scheme provided by the Information Commissioner’s Office.

The Parish Council may make a charge according to the complexity of the request

  • Equal Opportunities
    In keeping with the Council’s aims and objectives, the principles of Equal Opportunities are recognized. It is the Council’s responsibility to create an environment where all individuals can fulfil their potential and where equality of opportunity is actively promoted.
    Fremington Parish Council will not discriminate on grounds of race, colour, ethnic origin, nationality, gender, belief marital status, age, disability or sexual orientation. The Council will actively counteract prejudice and will, where appropriate, challenge imbalance.
    The Fremington Parish Council will ensure that the Equal Opportunities Policy is consistently applied. All Council members and staff have a personal responsibility for its implementation.
    As local government evolves and develops further, it is likely that the range of directly provided functions will expand.

    Under the Data Protection Act, the Parish Council has a duty to protect any information collected from you and to take appropriate security measures to safeguard personal data and prevent any unauthorised access to it.
